More Random Cakes

Perhaps a more descriptive title would be "If You Are a Close Friend You Might Have Eaten This Cake"

Almost all of the cakes I have done up until recently have been some sort of piped Buttercream.

It is fun to try new things.

Unfortunately, I am currently obsessed with chocolate ganache. It is sooo good. Warm ganache, over warm vanilla cake. Mmmmmm.....

Then add raspberry whipped cream and fresh raspberries.

This was a very simple cake that I made for a dear friend's "new baby" tea party.

Toby made this cake almost entirely by himself. (Within reason, of course. He is only 3, he isn't actually allowed to use the oven.) He then decided to offer it to some friends that came to visit. He was so proud.

He may be learning from me how to eat lots of cake, but if he learns, too, to be generous, I will consider that a success.
