Scotts Birthday Season

I love this picture.  Its so....accurate.
For Scotts extrovert birthday, he requested a "Dater Gator" cake. (He coaches Tobys baseball team, the Dater Montessori Gators)
Also, you might note, that "alligator" has been done before.

And I didn't make this cake, my Mother in law (or father in law?) did....but these people love Scott too.

Jill's Wedding

So, I wish I could have stayed and seen all the details of this wedding...it was in a beautiful location, and a nice blend of elegant/modern/vintage, from what I saw.  I hope to get some better pictures to post, but for now, this will have to do.
Also, for the record, this week was interesting, to say the least.  It involved getting new teeth(technically crowns), getting the stomach flu, getting a placement of two foster children (which means we have 6, 6 and under currently), and making 180 cupcakes and a cake on my wedding anniversary (Sorry, Scott.)  I would never want life to get to boring.  = )

Happy Birthday, Aunt Ceen

Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, raspberries and raspberry sauce!  The only way to celebrate a birthday...at least if you are female.  = )

Florida Easter

One of the many things we did on the "huge family vacation/robyns 30th birthday vacation extravaganza" was to pick oranges from a family owned orange grove.  It was awesome.
So naturally I had to make a "florida orange" cake for Easter dessert with some of the oranges when we got back.

Everyone in my family created them self in penguin form. Love it!!!

Grandpa and Labron had birthdays. They requested chocolate cakes decorated by the kids.
Solomon turned one, and requested cake balls. He is very trendy.

Wedding cake by mail...kinda.

Here, Uncle Michael....proof that it was, in fact, at one point, a cake...

Decided its best not to ship butter across the country in August. Marshmellow fondant it is!

We walked it over to the post office(which can be seen from our porch). The post mistress was very nice, and quite amused.
I make no promises as to what happened to it after the USPS was put in charge!

Since January

Well, I haven't done many cakes since January, since that is when we acquired 2 extra children, and I started learning how to do life as a mom of 4 kids (5 and under).
But, I have done a few cakes...in the wee hours....and for documentation purposes, here they are...

Baba wanted "frozen cake scraps in a bag". THAT, I can do!
I set the kids up to make my birthday cake(s)
C's birthday party, with new and previous family.
Baba commissioned me last November to make this cake for Vic's graduation from Med school.

Baba's graduation. Yes, I know how to spell "magna cum-laude"
Had to represent her new baby...er, dog.

Scott turned 30!!!

I had the kids pipe "flowers" on to wax paper to use to decorate Gigi's birthday cake.

Marley turned 3!!! She had an ice cream party. The cake wasn't ice cream, but Toby saw it and turned to me "Mommy, we are going to have a problem. It is hot, how are we going to get that to the party before it melts"
Perfect!
Marley actually did like it...she just hated all the attention.
